Cauliflower Casserole

Ingredients:

1 head cauliflower
1 cup shredded cheese, divided
3 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons flour
1/2 cup buttered bread crumbs
1 ½ cups milk
salt
pepper

Directions:

Cut the cauliflower into florets. In a large pot bring water to a boil and add salt. Put florets in the water, cover and cook for around ten minutes until they turn tender.
While the cauliflower is cooking melt the butter over low heat, then add the flour and stir well. Once the flour is mixed in well, add the milk gradually and stir continuously until this thickens. Season with salt and pepper. Add the cheese and mix well.

Lightly grease a baking dish with butter and arrange the cauliflower in a single layer and pour the sauce mixtureover the florets. Make a big casserole or single servings. Garnish with some bread crumbs and cheese and bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.
