Hungarian Meat Balls

Ingredients:
2 lb ground pork
2 large eggs
1 onion, chopped
4 cloves garlic, crushed
1 large potato, shredded
2 thick slices of bread, moistened in milk
salt
black pepper
1 cup oil

Directions:
Squeeze most of the milk from the moistened bread slices.
Mix well all  ingredients with the exception of oil.
Make little balls with your hands.
Fry them in hot oil for 5-7 min on each side.
Cool them on paper towel.

Note:
If you make them as an appetizer form small balls. I made a Christmas Tree out of these meatballs, tomatoes, radish, cheese, olives. Just take a styrofoam cone, cover it with aluminum foil and put all the meatballs and veggies on the cone with toothpics.

If you want them as a main course form larger balls and then press them between your hands to form patties.
Serve them with mashed potatoes. I made zucchini with sour cream and dill.
